HERE AND THERE AWARDED IN TRIBECA

HEREANDTHERE_STILL2_small.jpg Darko Lungolov’s first feature “Here and there” was presented as an international premiere at Tribeca Festival and won the Best New York Narrative Award.
"Darko Lungulov's debut narrative feature about a New Yorker who travels to Belgrade is as geographically diverse and sensitive as the city of New York itself. The jurors were pleased by the fact that "it gave us not only New York, it gave us great characters, a great story, it gave us the world.”

BEST FEATURE AWARD FOR “GOD’S OFFICES” IN URUGUAY

GO_reunion1.jpg« God’s offices » was presented at the Uruguay International Film festival and was awarded with the Jury Prize for Best feature, “thanks to its method to combine feature and documentary and presenting at the same time an egalitarian relationship between professional actors and common individuals on a polemical subject.”

MENTAL AWARDED WITH INTERRELIGIOUS JURY PRIZE IN VISIONS DU REEL

mental.jpgThe second documentary “Mental” by Kazuhiro Soda won the Interreligious Jury Prize in Visions du Réel in Nyon, Switzerland, as “the film gives a respectful image of human integrity”.

CICAE Award for "the happiest girl in the world"

happiestgirl.jpgRadu Jude's debut film "the happiest girl in the world" won the CICAE Award of the Berlinale.
Gathering more than 3.000 arthouse screens in Europe, the CICAE is the world biggest network for arthouse cinema. The Berlinale CICAE prize awards an high quality arthouse film with a theatrical potential and that can bring the audience to discover new cinema horizons.

Max Ophüls Preis for "Universalove"

universalove.jpgThe debut film Universalove by Thomas Woshitz and Naked Lunch premiered in Saarbrucken during the Max Ophüls Festival and won the award of the best film (including a 18.000 euros support for the German theatrical distribution and a selection in the berlinale section - Perspektive Deutsches Kino). The festival also organized a special event with a "live version" of the film including a performance of the band Naked Lunch playing live during the screening.
The next "live screening" of the film with Naked Lunch playing live will take place on March 19th in Graz (Austria).

Observing the complex world of an outpatient mental health clinic in Japan, Mental breaks a major taboo, questionning the conventionnal boundary that separates the mentally ill and healthy people.

SPECIAL MENTION IN VENICE FOR "A LAKE" by Philippe Grandrieux

The film will have its next screenings at the Pusan Film Festival and at the London Film Festival.

WORLD PREMIERE IN TORONTO FOR "UNIVERSALOVE"

"Universalove" is a global love story composed with 6 episodes in six different places of the world. Tokyo, Marseille, Brooklyn, Belgrade, Rio de Janeiro, Luxemburg: different languages and different cultures, but one singular love.
