Maria Speth's feature film debut THE DAYS BETWEEN (2001) premiered at the Max Ophüls Film Festival and won awards at the Rotterdam Film Festival, among others. Her drama MADONNEN (2007) received the Hessian Film Award for Best Film. Speth's feature film DAUGHTERS (201) premiered at the Berlinale Forum. She was also awarded a Silver Bear for the film MR. BACHMANN AND HIS CLASS (2021) and the Audience Award at Berlinale Summer Special.
